Every piece of our module is tested at the factory, but Apple's DFU process is very annoying and can run into all kinds of unexpected problems, so please make sure you have enough patience before purchasing this product.

Did the 4TB on my MacMini M4 Pro 24GB. DFU didn't work from my old Mac mini M2. Could maybe have been something about the port I tried. Got the 4042 fault.
Changed to my MacBook Pro M3 and that was a success.
In the kit with the SSD there was a screwdriver with needed Torx bit and a plastic tool to open the MacMini cover.
So perfekt! Very happy. AND Disk Speed Test speed are amazing!
Installing the 4TB was relatively easy using the provided installation tools, however, I used a suction cup to lift the bottom cover rather than use the provided metal pry blade. The provided guitar pick like pry tool was easy to use and I didn't stress the bottom cover plastic. The only difficulty I encountered was that it took several attempts to update the Mac Mini's firmware. I ended up using the Apple Configurator and I had to connect the Mac Mini to the internet via an Ethernet cable. It still took about ten attempts, but suddenly it started working. As far as I can tell, the 4TB SSD is working flawlessly.
Defective. Do not recommend.
After getting my device, it's been nothing but issues. Set up wasn't difficult however the drive is faulty. I've reached out to customer service, about different fault codes, taken my Mac mini to apple and have had nothing but issues.
In April 2025, I purchased a 4TB chip for my M4 Mac Mini Pro for $699 shortly after the company released a chip for the Pro. It was delivered in May and install went fine, following the instructions (I have been building PCs since the 90s and felt very comfortable). However, within a short period of time, my computer started freezing up and restarting periodically. The only thing that had changed was the SSD. I began reaching out to the company in June (via both [****] and their Shopify email address from my order). I even sent them the log file showing the system errors. I am very disappointed. I know there are many positive reviews on the website but would just caution anyone considering doing this to be aware of the possibility of getting a defective unit and the company failing to stand behind its product.
