I purchased this for my M4 Mac mini because I only have one Mac and I had to install VMware one by one.I was able to use it to install Mac os on a new ssd and to initialize a refurbished ssd.It is a little bit difficult, but I think it is a powerful tool.
Did exactly what I needed which was to replace the hard drive inside my Mac mini m4 with the use of a Windows PC.
a 3 day old m4 mini, updated to 15.4.1 goes dead. dfu mode, blinking amber light. no other mac nearby. dfu kit does the job, after 30 minutes mac is back to life :)
